The Building of a new kitchen Addition.  SCROLL DOWN FOR PICS

before2.jpg
Original building with its covered entry housed a very tiny kitchen with a low 6'3" ceiling

With only six feet of cabinet space and a ceiling height of only 6'3" these folks ask us to remove the old kitchen extension along with the covered entry, and design and build a new kitchen, about 16'x`16', and incorporate a small powder room with a shower into the same area.  By using a reverse gable roof line, we were able to gain almost 12" of interior ceiling height.

There was only 6' of cabinet space inside.

Then we excavated and constructed a block foundation.

After getting the outside weather tight, we began building partitions for a powder room with shower

And over the next few days, we installed the cabinets

and measuring less than 9' wide, this room needed to be opened up

And when the framing went up, the look of a new 16'x16' kitchen began to appear.

After the insulation was installed, we began to drywall all surfaces

And the trim.......

So we started by tearing off the existing kitchen and covered entry.

By incorporating the reverse gable roof line, we were able to gain about 12" of ceiling height!

In order to help cut costs, the homeowner painted all the walls and ceilings over the weekend.

And finished off the powder room.
